ACCOMMODATION
Six African rondavels and two family lodges are nestled amongs ancient trees with a panoramic view of the bush and the well-frequented water hole. The rondavels are tastefully appointed in ethnic theme with a marvelous al fresco shower. The insect-proof rooms are fully equipped with modern amentities to provide comfort while in the bush.
DINING
Dinners are served around the fire in the reeded Boma or on the lawn under the stars. Fresh, local ingredients are used and many are produced in the lodge. The meals take an a South African country flair with dishes to suite all palates. Special requests are handled easily.
ON SAFARI
In the heart of the Balule Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park, visitors have the opportunity to see the "Big Five" as well as an abundance of animal, bird, and reptile life. Sightings of over 30 mammal species and 220 bird species make this a nature-lovers heaven. Safaris are conducted from 4x4 vehicles and on foot including early morning game drives, afternoon walking safaris or game drives, and night drives.
ACTIVITIES
After an exciting day on safari, you can return to the lodge to enjoy massage treatments, swim in the pool, and watch the wildlife from the deck. Evenings bring out a night sky unlike any you've seen and your ranger will point out constellations and deep sky objects using large telescopes and laser pointers.
