Zambia has vast areas of protected wilderness and an unspoiled nature that makes it a favourite with travellers searching for the “Real Africa”. The legendary David Livingstone first discovered Victoria Falls from here and the town of Livingstone is a shrine to his memory. The Luangwa Valley is home to a huge variety of mammals, bird life and large numbers of antelope and is renowned for walking safaris. The lower Zambezi offers walks, game drives and canoeing safaris. In the northern part of the country lies the Kafue National Park; one of the world’s largest, with a diverse landscape and just about every kind of animal except giraffe is found here.
