DAINTREE ECO LODGE

Nestled in a lush rainforest valley, and situated in the World's oldest living rainforest - The Daintree World Heritage Rainforest - (40 million years older than the Amazon!) The 30-acre property of Daintree Eco Lodge is surrounded by this magnificent vegetation, and is the ultimate destination to capture the mood of the tropics. The lodge is a private, boutique accommodation in an ecological environment of exquisite natural beauty - rainforest villas set amongst the miracles of nature.

THE LODGE

15 rainforest villas sit nestled amongst the verdant jungle where guests can feel one with nature while offering luxurious eco-sensitive creature comforts that make this one of the most unique boutique retreats in Australia. Guests can wake to the gentle sounds of nature and enjoy total pampering in the unique Daintree Spa. Discover the secluded pristine waterfall. Breathe in the freshest of air. Refresh yourself in the undercover pool or just laze on the sun deck with an exotic cocktail and let the days drift by.

WELLNESS SPA

The world renowned Daintree Spa will transport you into another world featuring unique Aboriginal-inspired massages and spa therapies.

ABORIGINAL CULTURE

The Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal Cultural Guides will join you in activities that are based on interpretation, education, and experimental learning. Experiences include interpretive rainforest walks, Aboriginal Art and Culture workshops, Aboriginal-inspired spa treatments, and more.

CUISINE

Featuring the tru Australia tropical gourmet cuisine, the restaurant takes its name Julaymba from the local Kuku Yalanji word for "Daintree River." The balcony terrace overlooks the peaceful freshwater lagoon uniquely crafted to capture the serenity of the rainforest.

NATURE

The region represents the largest surviving tract of tropical lowland rainforest on the Australian continent, a remnant of Godwanaland. It is the only place in the world where two World Heritage Sites meet - The Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Daintree Rainforest. Of Australia's 36 mangrove species, 28 are found in the Daintree. It is home for estuarine crocodiles, over 200 fish species, 70 crustaceans, and 430 species of birds. In two hectares of Daintree Rainforest, there are more species of trees than you would find in all of North America or Europe.
