This experience begins by travelling past the sporting precinct that became famous in the 1956 Olympic Games and now roars to the cheers of Aussie Rules crowds each weekend. See the nearby Rod Laver Tennis Centre that hosts the Australian Tennis Open each year as well as the world famous MCG which has hosted most of the major events that have come to this city.

Drive to the Italian precinct of Lygon Street in Carlton and see the historic Exhibition Buildings alongside the ultramodern Melbourne Museum.

Travelling along the beach road you pass through Port Melbourne, soon arriving at St Kilda. St Kilda is a remarkable place. It is situated on one of the most picturesque points of the Bay a short distance from the city. This bayside suburb is now one of the main tourist destinations and is renowned for its picturesque bayside setting, beaches, music venues, restaurants and cafe lifestyle.

Your guide will take you for a lap of the Australian Grand Prix track at Albert Park Lake before making a stop at the Queen Victoria Market. (The market is closed on Monday and Wednesday, and on Good Friday, Anzac Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day). The Queen Victoria Market is more than just Melbourne's shopping mecca - it is a historic landmark, a tourist attraction and an institution for Melburnians. Guides will walk with you and talk to some of the stallholders. A good chance to mix with the locals as well as pick up some unique and great value presents.

Soon the group is heading down to the historic town of Williamstown. Once at Williamstown your guide will show you the old historic buildings of Nelson Place which offer some of Melbourne's best waterfront locations. Here you can enjoy breathtaking views of Melbourne's city skyline through the masts of bobbing boats on the foreshore. This is a maritime town of great significance.

Morning tea will be amongst the glorious colours and smells of the Botanical Gardens. Magnificent expanses of lush green lawn slope elegantly towards ornamental lakes graced by elegant black swans and waterfowl; massive trees cast boughs of shade over manicured garden beds. A true haven within a busy city and a peaceful way to finish the tour.
