THE LODGE

Located two miles from the private aristrip, this boutique lodge has room for a total of six guests who are treated to the secluded tranquility of the tropical jungle that surrounds the lodge. This unique structure was built to enshroud the jaguar sanctuary, with many excellent places to watch the cats. The third floor offers a private restaurant and bar with many areas to lounge inside and outside and view the resident black howler and mischevious spider monkeys. From the rooftop perch, visitors have views out to the seven hills mentioned by Christopher Columbus in his journals and the Maya ruins of Nim Li Punit.

ACCOMMODATION

Three spacious suites offer superb luxury with views either into the jaguar sanctuary or overlooking the Boden Creek. Warm hardwoods, big beds, sitting rooms, and elaborately tiled bathrooms with large jacuzzi tubs and dual vanities characterize these elegant suites.

CUISINE

Inspired by safari, awaken to coffe and tee services with a light breakfast at dawn before your morning activity with a hearty brunch on your return. Afternoon tea and snacks are available throughout the day with five-course dinners featuring local ingredients and culinary traditions. Special meals and dietary requirements can be catered to on request. All local drinks are included in the rate.

ACTIVITIES

Explore the ancient Maya ruins of Nim Li Punit and Lubaantun, just a short distance away from the lodge to view the carved monuments, restored temples, and burial ruins. Learn the fascinating history of the ruins including their distinct uses from local Maya guides and enjoy picnic lunches within the tranquil surroundings. For the more active guests, activities include bike riding, hiking in the jungle, and cave expeditions inside the Blue Creek. Explore the jungles in search of jaguar, 400 species of birds, tapir, puma, wild pig, and monkeys.

LIGHTING AND POWER

A silent generator runs for part of the day and charges batteries that provide 110v all day and night via an inverter system. The system is limited to low current usage, but guests may charge electrical equipment as they like.
