Swim with your horse in freshwater lakes, ride to the Pa site of Te Kiri high above the sea overlooking the islands to the east. Return to the beach and ride along and over farmland to Whangaripo, following an old Kauri logging trail before your return to Pakiri. Accommodations in beachfront chalets.
Vines and Markets Ride - (3 Days) - Begin with an introductory ride along the white sand of Pakiri Beach with views out to Little Barrier Island and Great Barrier Island and the cries of sea birds above empty sand dunes. Overnight in cabins on the beach and take off in the morning for a full days ride over high farm country towards Leigh. Stop for a picnic lunch and overnight at a cozy lodge for a warm spa or a cool swim in the pool. After breakfast, you will depart for Matakana Farmers Market and Craft Market and the world-famous Morris and James Pottery. Lunch at Herons Flight Vineyard with a wine tasting at Ransom Matakana Estate, Ascension, Omaha Bay and other vineyards. Evening ride back to Pakiri.
