Suited for lovers of riding and the outdoors, experience the tranquility and solitude of Patagonia accompanied by Chilean horsemen into remote areas inaccessible by car. Camp out under the stars and immerse yourself in the beauty of this pristine environment.

Many days are long (15-24 miles) with moderate - fast pace. Intermediate to advanced riders only. Group size 2-12. Ages: 12-70. Horses are Criollo and Criollo Crosses. Tack is western with snaffle bridles. Average Daily Hours in the Saddle: 5

Itinerary Summary
Day 1: Meet in Hotel Terra Sur for dinner and overnight accommodation
Day 2: Visit the colony of burrowing Magellanic penguins and continue to lunch at Puerto Natales. Camp along Laguna Verde and take in the views while dinner is prepared.
Day 3: Meet your horses and their dedicated baqueanos before setting off along the shores of the lake, through ancient beech forests towards the Sierra del Toro. A steep ascent ends on top of this mountain with the last section through snow to reach the marvelous views. Wind down to a puesto manned by one of the cattle ranchers from Estancia Lazo for lunch. Return to your campsite for dinner.
Day 4: Ride towards the heart of the park, winding through valleys and across pampas. Descend the Sierra del Toro for lunch in the valley and a visit to park headquarters. Continue with some fast riding to the emerald green Serrano River to camp. Showers available.
Day 5: Make an early start across the pampas towards the immense Grey Glacier and Lake. This is open pampas riding at its most exciting with long canters towards the granite peaks of the Paine Massif. Cross the wodden footbridge to the beach. An optional boat ride can get you up close to the glacier while hiking and pisco sours at the Hosteria Lago Grey are also available. Return to camp at Rio Serrano. Showers available.
Day 6: Enjoy beautiful trails crossing the heart of the Park up and over verdant valleys and beech forests to azure lakes and wide open plains. View condors overhead and herds of guanaco in the plains. Cross over 30 kms dominated by the Torres del Paine with a final vehicle transfer to the campsite. No showers.
Day 7: Ride into the hills of the Sierra Contreras to Cascada Zamora. After lunch ride to a remote puesto 'mercado' high over the pampas with views of Las Chinas Valley and Sierra Baguales before returning to camp.
Day 8: Ride towards the Torres and Lago Paine near a natural vega that attracts wild criollos from the surrounding hills. Camp riverside at Lago Paine. No showers.
Day 9: Ride to Lake and Glacier Dickson--one of the most remote and rarely visited glaciers. Pass through ancient southern beech forests before reaching the solitary perch and viewpoint above the lake. No showers.
Day 10: Continue to Laguna Azul through forests and flower-filled meadows. Long canters fill your ride before reaching the lake to camp.
Day 11: Pack up camp to transfer back to Punta Arenas and overnight at the Hotel Terra Sur
