Patagonia is a large, raindrop shaped region at the tip of South America. It includes the lower 1/3 of Chile and Argentina. It is not a country, nor a province, or National Park (though it contains multitudes) and its' bounderies inch a bit northward each year. There are several theories about the naming of the region, the most popular being that the first voyagers passing the continent via ship thought they saw giants on land and called them Patagon (meaning "big foot"). Presently, you will find endless places to explore and take your breat away, and by horseback you can access untouched beauty on great scale.
