Dominica: Fort Young Hotel
Nestled on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea, cradled in the beauty of lush and grandiose mountains, Fort Young , Dominica's premier Hotel, offers the kind of vacation that every traveler dreams of.
This enchanting paradise was the setting for Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3 from April to May, 2005, where Ft Young Hotel welcomed the cast and crew.

For the Adventure Traveler:
Along with world class diving, land activities run the gamut including hikes on miles of rainforest with breathtaking climaxes at waterfalls where guests can treat themselves to a well-earned swim. Each waterfall provides a unique experience, such as the milky, sulphurous Victoria Falls which to bathe in is said to be good for the skin; the crystal clear waters of the Sari Sari Falls; the warm mineral baths and cool pools underneath Trafalgar Falls, or a tranquil dip in Emeral Pool.
For the daring, a strenuous hike through the Valley of Desolation--appropriately named because of its volcanic fumeroles and sulphur pits--up to Boiling Lake. With a 200 ft diameter and a 100 degree Celsius center, this lake is the largest in the world and unlike anything you've ever seen.
There is the Exotic and incomparable Ti Tou Gorge meaning "little throat hole" where hikers can swim up the throat of the mountain, and if guests choose a more relaxing but equally adventurous day choices include birdwatching, river tubing, whale watching or the rainforest aerial tram. |
